This Christmas Comic Is Good - Teen Titans Go #25

If you have a young relative or acquantince that you think MIGHT appreciate a comic book in their stocking this Christmas, be sure to make that comic Teen Titans Go #25. J. Torres manages an impressive feat, by making the comic not only a "Christmas" issue, but also have a good deal of standard superhero action.

The action is courtesy of a fight between the Titans and one of their bad guys, Billy Numerous. By the by, in case anyone has missed it, Todd Nauck and Lary Stucker have been absolutley dynamite on this title since day one. If you enjoyed their Young Justice work, you will love their work here, but even if you didn't care for their Young Justice work, I think you will find their work here to be quite good. They capture the style of the cartoon well while still managing to maintain a style of their own. It is quite cool to see.

Anyhow, the fight between Billy Numerous is fun, with a lot of Christmas reference (a lot of them often funny). After the fight was resolved, the Titans exchange gifts in an amusing "Gift of the Magi"-esque story that Torres wisely has the characters knowingly reference. This all leads to a fun, cute ending.

This comic was a lot of fun, and I would definitely recommend it. The jokes were even pretty funny "Olive the other Reindeer!!!" BWAH HA HA HA!!!

I did not like the rebuses, though.
