Welcome to Comics Should Be Good, MarkAndrew, Hope You Survive the Experience!

Yes, it is true, everyone's favorite Loeb-lover, MarkAndrew is now a part of the gang. But fear not, he has plenty of other topics to talk about, like his planned "Eternals/Gaiman's Sandman" compare and contrast, or maybe we'll finally get some Beanworld reviews (or, perhaps, even a Stray Toasters review!!!).

So, welcome, MarkAndrew!

Drinks are on him, then.

A Stray Toasters review would be great. It's sad to see how few people remember Epic Comics these days.

I think you should have him and Marionette do a monthly Loeb roundtable.

I thought it was the other way around! Cronin liessss!

I lost my copy of Stray Toasters. I think I lent it out to someone, but maybe just lost it. So that might be a while.

(Maybe not TOO long, 'cause I've heard rumors of back issues floating around for super-cheap. So I'll keep my eyes open.)

I haven't read much from Epic Stuff, except for Sienkiewicz or Englehart-retated material. And Dreadstar, which I read a couple issues from somewhere in the middle and couldn't quite figure out.

Is there any particularly good epic work?

"I think you should have him and Marionette do a monthly Loeb roundtable."

I AM doing Superman/Batman, as soon as (again) I find where I put them. I'll see if I can avoid the (potentially flamable) Loeb issue, though, and talk about the neat art things. That I liked.

"What is Beanworld?"

The greatest comic ever. :) And my first post, due Thursday night. (ish)

"Whatever happened to Beanworld anyway? I read that there was going to be a new GN. That was like, 10 years ago."

Six 'an a half since book four. I've been counting.

And I haven't heard any news on book five, which could at least finish collecting issues 17-21.

Heck, I figure there's enough shorter, misc. strips to do a book six.

There've been rumors of a new graphic novel for the last seven-eight years, but nothing's turned up yet.

I'm interested in this Beanworld now. Is that what your first review will be? Also, why am I being too lazy to just google the damn thing for myself?
