Who Would You Base Them On TODAY?

An interesting thing about characters created in the Golden Age is that, visually, a VERY common practice by artists was to base characters upon popular (or at least popular enough) movie actors. Needed a leading man-type? Base the character's visual on a leading man actor. And so on, and so forth.

Which leads me to my question today (as I haven't tossed out a fun game in awhile), which is, quite often, people like to play "Cast the Superman movie" or whatever, but in those instances, we are basing the look on the established Superman look, which, in turn, was based upon a movie actor. What I am asking today is, if you were the artist in charge of creating the visual for Superman TODAY, as if he was invented TODAY, which movie actors/actresses would you use for the basis of:

Superman

Clark Kent

Lois Lane

Jimmy Olsen

Bruce Wayne

Batman

Wonder Woman

Captain Marvel

Mary Marvel

Captain Marvel, Jr.

Lex Luthor

Sivania

Robin

Joker

Two-Face

Catwoman

Now, remember, you don't have to stick to ANY preconceived visual here. Just who you think would be your pick for a "Mild-Mannered Reporter," etc.

And, obviously, you don't have to answer each one...hehe.

Jude Law = Captain Marvel (How 'bout it?)

Maggie Cheung = Wonder Woman, Greek heritage be damned.

Maybe he meant a light bulb? I wouldn't put it past him. Cronin's weird like that. If that's the case, I'd say Samuel L. Jackson. Everything looks more bad ass when it's drawn with Sam Jackson's likeness.

Christopher Walken as Joker, and Sam Waterston (Jack McCoy on Law and Order) as Two Face. Specifically in the case of the latter, I think it would be neat to see someone who is well-known for playing a D.A. also do Harvey Dent.

Hm. Angelina Jolie as Lois Lane, a young Ralph Nader as Clark Kent/Superman, no idea about Jimmy Olsen. Lex Luthor, uh, no idea. I was just watching CNN so I want to say a bald Anderson Cooper.

If Triple H got a haircut and was clean shaven I'd go with him for Batman. The guy conveys arrogance and cheats to win. That's Batman right there.

No idea about Robin. No idea about Two-Face. Jennifer Connelly as Catwoman.

Jolie for Catwoman, most definitely. Gareth from The Office for Joker. Denzel Washington for Superman/Kent (seriously, unless he's getting too old and tubby for it). Brendan Fraser or the tubby guy on Alias for Captain Marvel. Luthor, the guy who's playing him already on Smallville.

And I know she's not on your list, but Rachel Weisz for Zatanna.

Jimmy Olsen:

I was trying to think of somebody who could play the young go-getter, and the best one I could come up with was Adam Brody. Come to think of it, he could also play a good Peter Parker, especially Bendis' Ultimate version.

Christopher Walken is an great choice for a supervillain, although I don't know if the Joker would be the best one, since I can't see him doing maniacal laughter. But he could be a great creepy, insane villain. Maybe Two-Face. I used to think Jim Carrey would be a good Joker, but I don't think he could be scary enough. Actually, somebody mentioned Crispin Glover, and he might be the perfect choice for Joker.
