Will Entanglement Be Good?

Find out for yourself, as Brandon Hanvey has a 27-page (holy crap, that's a lot of pages!) preview of his upcoming graphic novel (it is a romantic comedy, which is a genre that is seriously lacking in comics today), Entanglement. Click here for the preview.

Looks good. I found the effect of two seperate columns not quite worth the effect as IMO it's just a tad too hard to read and I would have preferred a slightly more serious tone, but it's certainly promising.
Is there a price-point/total pages estimate yet?

109 pages, Markus.

I don't think Brandon has picked a price point yet. I believe that he was thinking in the $10-12 range.

Maybe this will turn out to be great, but I'd like it if of these young-people-dating books didn't all take place in the Blue-Monday-ish twee-punk fantasy world. People with nothing in common with Scott Pilgrim have sex too.

markus,
The book is 112 pages (109 pages of story) for $9.00.

Eli,
Yeah Petra is a "cool hipster" girl, but Riley is more of a preppy rich kid. I wanted to do a story about two kids from different backgrounds falling for each other.

Thanks for the feedback.

Good job, there. That's a nice price point.

It's not only nice, it's got wits and social graces. I think I'll end up going out with that price point. ;-)

I liked the double-column technique a lot. The moment when the two columns crashed into each other was both surprising and perfectly executed.

Overall, it was quite good. Nice job, Brandon.

My biggest gripe is that the characters don't use contractions where normal people would, but that's a relatively minor matter.

I think the contraction thing is a Hanveyism.

That said, you know I'm buying a copy.

That is what Nicole says when she is editing my book.
