Great Googly Moogly!
I THINK that we can all agree that THIS is pretty damn awesome cover, no?
"After the startling events of the first issue, Superman retreats with Lois Lane to his Arctic sanctuary. Find out what mystery haunts Superman's girlfriend as she spends her birthday in the strangest place on earth — the Fortress of Solitude! "
Yowsa, Yowsa, Yowsa!

After seeing the preview, and the two covers, if this isn't the best comic EVER I'll gnaw my right hand off at the wrist.
Out of continuity, Christopher.
Out of continuity, and into our hearts!
Nice cover, but... That's Lois Lane? I'd never have picked her out of a lineup.
And as always with Quitely stuff, Lois is pouting. Why do all his faces look like they're pouting?
Having seen this (and associated comments) elsewhere, I have to point out I'm still a bit unsure as to what Supes is doing. Does he have radioactive belly-button fluff?
Having said that, it's a great cover. The best thing is the colouring. Lois Lane's dress is pretty simple but the colouring gives it a 3D quality. Lovely.
It's a good cover concept and beautifully rendered...but you really can't help wondering how much more impact it would have had if only Lois was recognizable. I'm not saying I want a return to the days when Al Plastino and Murphy Anderson were brought in to redraw the Superman cast faces in Kirby's Jimmy Olsen (which was particularly absurd given how good the Kirby versions looked) but this could have been done a lot better.
You know, its your fault that I'll probably buy these Superman comics. I've had to interest in Superman since ... well, really forever. But these Quitly covers rawk, and with Morrison scripts they might just rule. But I would have forgotten they were even coming out if you didn't post these covers. Damn you.
I totally agree about the fact that she does not really look like Lois.
That's how great of a cover it is, that it is cool in SPITE of that!!
And I am sorry, Hope. I will do a bit about a stupid 90s book next, so as to not make you want to buy something else!!
What are you people, retarded? Lois Lane isn't real. It's a dark haired girl who is Superman's girlfriend. That's all the Lois Lane you'll ever need.
THAT DOESN’T ACTUALLY RESEMBLE KRYPTONIAN RAYGUN TECHNOLOGY, EITHER, SHNORF!
It's a Kryptonian hair-dryer/egg whisk, that's why, and Lois-who-isn't-Lois is merely looking for a plug so she can whip up a nice omelette for her hunky man. But it's a surprise, so she's sneaking about, y'see?
No way, it's a Kryptonian pregnancy test.
It's positive. And supes ain't happy.
Anonymous wins.
Why do they still let Frank Quitely attempt to draw women?
I recall a certain huge hardback JLA book that featured Wonder Woman drawn with immense wide shoulders, a chin as huge as the entire rest of her head, and everyone with those tiny little pouty mouths.
Dude! Superman's doin' a line of coke off his Kryptonian desk.
Good job in presenting the correct content with the clear explanation.
