Chats Should Be Good - Steve Englehart
I am a big fan of a lot of Steve Englehart's work, so I'm quite pleased to say that he is doing a chat at Comic Book Resources this Thursday, October 6th, at 5pm PDT/ 8pm EDT.
Steve Englehart has had classic runs on titles like Avengers, Doctor Strange (Which I raved about here), Detective Comics, Justice League of America, Captain America and Green Lantern.
If you are already a member of CBR, then you just have to hit "Comic Chat," and then hit "vBChat Room Change" and choose to join the room marked "Steve Englehart Chat."
If you are NOT already a member of CBR, you just have have to register, which is no big deal, as it's free. Just click here to register.
I hope some of you make it, but if you don't, well, then I will get to ask more questions, so it's all good...hehe.

Did you ever get around to posting the transcript of the Roger Stern chat?
Stern had problems signing on, so we had to put it off to some other time.
Ask him about the Mantis obsession. Is she based on a real person?
I just reread Englehart's JLA run, which holds up remarkably well. Be sure to ask him about his prose novel, THE POINT MAN, and his interest in Astrology that led him to so many of the great Dr. Strange and Starlord ideas.
I'd also love for him to add a "reading order" for not only Mantis, but Scorpio Rose, because both characters have a VERY convoluted history.
Remember folks, it is an open chat!
Anyone can come by and ask anything that they'd like!
Yeah, but at 8 PM I'm still commuting home at that time. :(
Any chance the Marc Andreyko chat will get posted?

A very good chance, Anun.
I'd put it at 100%...hehe.
Anybody know if Englehart's JLA run was ever collected into a TPB?
His Batman run back in the late Seventies, collected as Strange Apparitions, is a hoot. Old-skool Batman. Pity his run was so short, since it got noticably better as it went.
To me, Englehart was the dude who saved Captain America. That was rawkin'.
Well, THAT was fun.
I'll be sure to tell you folks when the transcript is up!
