You Decide - 2005 (Continued)

One of the drawbacks of the whole blog system is that once an entry gets to be a week or so old, it pretty much disappears.

Sure, it is still visible, but you have to actively search for it to read it, so for all intents and purposes, it is gone.

So I figure that, on the first of every month, I will reopen my "You Decide - 2005" challenge to people who have not already participated by having a post where I link to the original challenge.

Sound fair enough?

Okay, here is the link.... You Decide - 2005

Make your picks here, or in the comments to the original!

You read Beanworld, Brian?

Cause, well, that's my favorite comic of all time, by a lot, bar none, period.

If you can find it, "The Bandy Man" from Caliber a few years back was really, really, fucking good, too. *And* it had text in the back that totally complemented the story.

On the superhero front...

Have you read any of the Englehart/Buscema Captain America stuff? You did the Gruenwald run a while back, but I'd be curious to know your thoughts on the *best* Captain America run, ever.

If Brian can't find anything BEANWORLD related, I'd be happy to lend him one of the collections I've got...

Can I make another suggestion?

I just started getting into Brian Wood's DEMO series. Any of the 12 self-contained issues should be good to review.

"Can I make another suggestion?"

You didn't even respond after I wrote a freakin' opus about your LAST suggestion!!

Technically, that was your suggestion. I asked for Serial Boxes, and you said you wanted to review Battery Park.

But I liked your review. I liked and agreed with it so much that if I was to comment, it would go like "Yes, I agree. I liked it too."

That's not a particularly brilliant review, by the way. It's just the first thing that came up on Google and I have to go to work, so...

Blanche the Baby Killer, Beanworld and Bandy Man are all unavailable from Diamond Comics Distributors.

I suppose I may have to take Ed up on that Beanworld offer after all...
