Ridiculous Superhero Nerd Fun

I just thought up a new game. The rules are easy.

1. Select your favorite seven (7) currently-running superhero solo titles.

2. Name them.

3. Now imagine them together as a super-team.

It's a fun game, you should try it. Post your super-teams here! It's like being Bendis and Marvel owns everything!

Me first! I go first! I thought up the game so I go first!

OK, so I am playing my own game now and here are the results.

1. Adam Strange
2. Plastic Man
3. Invincible
4. The Goon
5. The Question
6. Captain America
7. Spider-man

HOWEVER . . .if "The Goon" doesn't count, and he may very well not (can I get a ruling?) then the rest of the guys after him move up one notch and he is replaced with . . .errrr . . .this is hard . . .but I'll go with the more superheroic of the two choices, Jack Staff. (The Punisher was the other).

Yay! That was fun! What a crazy team that would be!

Boy, this is insanely hard.

Marshal Law
Hellboy
Batgirl
John Constantine
Enigma
Seska Fuzen (Masamune Shirow's Orion)
Harley Quinn (Lieberman's murderous, knife-throwing, people-shooting, child-blinding version, y'know, the one with a healing factor)

...I give up. Those seven are the best I can come up with. Half of them aren't really superheroes, one is a villain and Enigma is so omnipotent that he renders all the others redundant.

I HAVE FAILED YOU.

*looks at handiwork*

That _would_ be a really freaky bunch, though.

You HAVE FAILED! But for another reason.

Most of those guys don't have a current series.

Dammit! I just realized I didn't put that in the rule! Crap! Let me see if I can edit.

My team would be way different, then. Perhaps that should be like the Canadian rules.

1.Adam Strange
2.Invincible
3.Plastic Man
4.Captain America
5.Ultra
6.She-Hulk
7.Savage Dragon

I think that would actually be a pretty fun team, and I even have a decent male/female ratio.

You know what? Good point. Ultra beats out Jack Staff these days.

Bring it.

Hehe

After I published my comment, I wished I could've replaced Wolverine with Nightwing.

Booooooooooooooooooo.

Too late. Now you hate Nightwing.

I'm telling him in study hall.

I dunno, if you want Nightwing, you better be prepared to fight Devin Grayson for him.

She luuuuuuuvs him.

I don't know if I *have* seven favorite currently running superhero books; I read a lot of team stuff these days. But I'll try:

1. Amazing Spider-Man
2. Green Arrow
3. Incredible Hulk

...yeah, that's it. Damn, I suck at this game.

Mike, have you tried Invincible? Cause I'd put money on you liking it.

It's like Superman + Spider-man except, you know, good.

From everything I've heard, I'd love it like a woman, but I haven't had the time or cash lately to get into a new series of trades.

1) Adam Strange
2) She-Hulk
3) The Question
4) Plastic Man
5) Hulk
Um. How far do superheroes go? 'cause if I had my druthers, the last two are
6) Mayor Hundred/The Great Machine (Ex Machina), and
7) Holden Carver (Sleeper)
who are superpowered protagonists... otherwise it's MK Spider-Man and Azz/Lee Superman in that order, both of which I'm starting to find more and more marginal. And yet I still like The Incredible Hulk...

Anyways, the team as numbered would probably fall apart in twelve seconds. But the second you stick Superman in it can hold together. But yeah, that's my list.

Okay, other people have used Fallen aAngel, so I will too. And if minis are allowed, add Madrox to mine. The final two spots I will fill with Voltron. Yes, I know it's five guys in lions, but Voltron himself still counts as one hero.

So my new list:

Spider-Man
Green Arrow
Hulk
The Fallen Angel
Multiple Man
Voltron

Hot damn, that's a cool team. They'd kick anybody's ass.

Weirdest thing.....I jsut realized I don't read any solo super-hero series. I buy Nightcrawler, but it's for my roommate. So I came up with this list of books I read that could theoretically be about solo chracters (even thyough two aren't super-pweored)

Nightcrawler
Luba
Bitchy Bitch
Desert Peach (although I haven't seen one in quite a while)
Bishop
Promethea
Tim Hunter

I would imagine that this team would be pretty much unbeatable. Luba's tits alone could take out the entire Flash Rogue's Gallery.

Captain America
Batman
Hulk (Banner version)
Jenny Sparks
Silver Surfer
Spider-man
Tommy Monoghan

I'd bring back the name Power Company or Champions for this team.

I imagine that Tommy & Jenny would be drinking constantly. Bats & Cap will have to try real hard not to kill them. Throw in some guest appearances by the JSA, Wolverine & Havok/Polaris then this book would sell huge.

1. Savage Dragon
2. Invincible
3. Max Hundred (Ex Machina)
4. Jack Staff
5. The Goon
6. Hellboy
7. Shaloin Cowboy

That's a pretty awesome team if you ask me.

Jesus Christ, you said "current"
This is why I'm the king of edits.
Well now, let's put up another list.

Captain America
Spider-man
Adam Strange
Holden Carver
Cosmic Guard
She-Hulk
Frank Castle

Now that's a completely different team.
I'd go with using Power Company over Champions for this one.

Does "current" mean published this month, or y'know, in the past year?
Anyway,
1. Seaguy
2. Magnus Robot Fighter
(the reprints make him eligible, damnit!)
3. Black Widow
4. Green Lantern (Hal,pre-suck)
5. Supergirl
6. Smax
7. Flaming Carrot
