Nerd Credit Victory - Swordsman's Identity!
A year ago tomorrow, I posted here, for posterity, my guess for who the mysterious Swordsman was in New Thunderbolts.
Today, in New Thunderbolts #17, my guess was shown to be correct! That's cool, because I never guess these things so early (except when it is way obvious, but in those cases, everyone else knows, too)!!

Nice work there! I suspected Andreas and then abandoned that suspicion on the the grounds that it wouldn't be very cool. Alas, you were right, and alas, it wasn't. I used to really dig this title, but lately it's just been bugging me. Ah well.
I just assumed it would be Wolverine
I guessed Andreas Strucker around the Wolverine/Enemy of the State crossover, then dropped the title. Was I right?
My guess for Paladin was invalidated the moment he showed up in GLA and then again in Hellions, so then I defaulted to Andreas, because who else could it be.
As I was reading it, I wondered if Nicieza was going to zing us with it being a resurrected-and-sex-changed Andrea Strucker instead of Andreas, but he didn't.
Extra credit, though, for the creeeepy cameo Andrea (or at least part of her) did end up making.
You actually read New Thunderbolts?
To my shame, I did think he was Hawkeye at first, but there was one line where it basically out and out said it was a member of Strucker's family.
So applying the process of elimination:
It couldn't be Andrea, because Swordsman was clearly a bloke, and this was before the Ronin Fiasco.
It couldn't his new wife, because she looks like Aunt May, and Aunt May doesn't wear other people's costumes to go adventuring. Or at least she didn't, until The Udder.
So it had to be Andreas really.
Still, I would have made it Rocket Raccoon, and logic be damned!
