Were the 90s Good?
This week, I (and any of my blogmates who would like to partake in the fun) will be taking a fun look at some 90s comics, and seeing what was what, good/bad-wise.

Oh boy. Can o' worms.
I'd fall more onto the side of negative.
There were some gems.
It think even though they were not my cup of tea, most of the new character Marvel stuff was actually more ambitious and creative then people gave it credit for.
But given the flood of Ultiverse, Valiant, Defiant, Image, Chaos, and others.. I feel more trees died in vain, than died for good cause at the time.
Yeesh, people think that the eighties were the decade of greed? I quit collecting comics in the '90's. At Marvel, absolutely NOTHING was self-contained; everything was a crossover. The only good thing was when all the bad artists left and formed Image. It's too bad that they left their "Mighty Men and Monster Maker" toy behind, because after that every character at Marvel had a mullet / trenchcoat / glowing eye / Colossus arms / pin-sized head w/ no neck in some combination. And a BFG (Big F****** Gun).
They might have been late eighties, but at least there was cool indy stuff like "Warlock 5," "Ex-Mutants" and "Roachmill."
Thanks for the post, really effective info.
