A Very Special Message From David Welsh (A Copy and Paste Production)

Continuing on a theme quoting paragraphs from new posts by bloggers named David, here's one from David Welsh, that Precocious Curmudgeon himself. It's open letter concerning the proliferation of the missuse of the letter z to indicate plurality, which is right up there with nuclear and ninja proliferation as far as negative proliferations go.

While it is an affliction that cuts across many levels of society, it is applicable to comics in this instance, solely because DC is publishing a comic this week called Wildsiderz #0:

Dear Everyone in the World,

Please stop indicating plurals with a "z" in an effort to make yourselves look hip. It has the opposite result, and it drives me crazy. Please submit requests to use this technique ironically at least three months in advance. Lack of response should not be construed as permission.

In other news, I think I love David Welsh now.

If the letter z is the only bad thing you can find about the new Wildsiderz comic, then it can't be that bad inside, right?

I personally found the artwork off the hook, so good job Campbell. And Edgar Delgado did an awesome job at colouring.

What is Wildsiderz about? I haven't seen that one. I'm reading Transmet right now and I think I understand why obsessed fans will pay $130.00 for the Spider sunglasses. I've never been so addicted to a series. I may draw the spider tatoo on my boyfriend's shaved head while he sleeps. :P I could kinda look like Channon (but with a more realistic figure) so it could be funny.
I'm seriously off-topic. Yes, I concur with David about the ZZ'z. I feel the same way about wEn PePUl riTe LIke ThIS Cuz thEY tHInk iTS COOl. It NEveR Wuz.
