Words To Live By

Paul O'Brien provides very useful advice in his latest column for Ninth Art:

If you're going to be stupid, do it properly. Looking clever and being dumb is not a good combination.

He was talking about the recent event comics from DC and Marvel, but it's good advice in general, I'd say. Anyway, the column's the usual interesting read from O'Brien and while it covers a very well worn path, it does so with some good points to make about the superhero genre as a whole.

What I think O'Brien is discussing here is basically Cousin Larry tricks.

And I totally agree with him - they are lame.
